ICON MEGOPIC 2025 Presentation Guidelines and Awards
Awards & Recognition
We are pleased to announce that ICON MEGOPIC 2025 will honour outstanding contributions with the following awards:
Total Prize Value: RM 4,000: awarded to exceptional research in both Undergraduate (UG) and Postgraduate (PG) categories for oral and poster presentations:
- Best Oral Presentation (Postgrad) – RM 1,000
- Best Oral Presentation (Undergrad) – RM 1,000
- Best Poster Presentation (Postgrad) – RM 1,000
- Best Poster Presentation (Undergrad) – RM 1,000
Additional Recognition
- Gold, Silver, and Bronze Awards for both UG and PG Poster Presentation categories.
- Gold Medal for the top-scoring oral presentation in each of the eight conference tracks.
- Official Certificate of Presentation for all presenters.
- All decisions made by the judging panel are final, conclusive, and not subject to any appeal.

Oral Presentation Guidelines
Submission Deadline: 27 August 2025
Presentation Duration
- Total: 10 minutes (8 minutes presentation + 2 minutes Q&A) for both site and online attendees.
- Each presenter (individual or group) will be allocated 10 minutes:
- 8 minutes for presentation2 minutes for Q&A
- Presentations may be delivered in person or online (live or pre-recorded)
- All group members are encouraged to participate during the session (for group submissions)
- Please prepare the pre-recorded video presentation
- Please name your file as: Name. Oral.
Undergraduate Category – Group Presentations
- Maximum 4 presenters per group.
- 8 minutes presentation time may be divided among members.
- Any member may answer questions from the judges.
- Note: Group presentations are not allowed for the postgraduate category.
For Online Presenters – Pre-recording Video
- All online oral presenters must submit a pre-recorded video of their presentation
- Pre-record an 8-minute presentation
- We recommend using the free Screencast-O-Matic (ScreenPal) application to record your presentation video. The free version allows recordings of up to 15 minutes.
- please save it in your google drive and submit via Google Form Link by 27 August 2025.
- File name format: Name. Oral.
Attendance Requirement
- All presenters (online and in-person) must be present during their allotted schedule.
- Online presenters will join via Zoom during playback of their pre-recorded video for the live Q&A session.
- Failure to attend Q&A will be considered a no-show, and the entry will not be included in the competition.
Slide Preparation
- Format: Microsoft PowerPoint (.ppt/.pptx)
- Slide size: 16:9 widescreen
- Recommended limit: 10 content slides (excluding title and acknowledgments)
- Submit in PowerPoint format via Google Form Link by 27 August 2025.
- Suggested structure:
- Title Slide (authors, affiliations)
- Background / Introduction
- Objectives
- Methodology
- Results
- Conclusion
- Acknowledgments / References (if applicable)
- Fonts: Arial, Calibri, Times New Roman, minimum 24 pt
- Avoid excessive text; prioritize visuals, graphs, and bullet points

Poster Presentation Guidelines
Submission Deadline: 27 August 2025
Submission
- Submit in PDF format via Google Form Link by 27 August 2025.
- File name format: Name. Poster
- Posters will be displayed digitally on the virtual conference platform.
Size & Orientation
- A1 (594 mm × 841 mm), portrait.
Content Requirements
- Must match the submitted abstract.
Printed Copy
- Bring a printed copy for physical display and judging.
- Submit to Prof. Benjamin at the registration counter (LT21) between 7:30–8:30 AM on Day 1 (3 September 2025).
- Late submissions of printed copies will incur deductions.
Poster Content Structure
- Title
- Author(s) and affiliation(s)
- Background
- Objectives
- Methodology
- Results (tables, figures, visuals encouraged)
- Conclusion and Recommendations
- Acknowledgments (if any)
- Optional: Contact email for networking
Design Tips
- Fonts: Minimum 20 pt for body text
- Keep layout clean and organized
- Avoid overcrowding
- Avoid excessive text; prioritize visuals, graphs, and bullet points
- Use high-resolution visuals and graphs

Conference Proceedings
- Your abstract will be published with an ISBN number and archived in the National Library of Malaysia.
- To ensure consistency, please follow the official abstract template provided: (Download Abstract Template).
- If you have submitted your abstract in a different format, kindly resend the updated version as soon as possible using the correct template.
