Prof. Dr. Chong Pei Pei is currently the Lab Director for the Digital Health and Innovations Impact lab cum the Head of Research at the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, Taylor’s University.

Prof. Dr. Chong Pei Pei is currently the Lab Director for the Digital Health and Innovations Impact lab cum the Head of Research at the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, Taylor’s University.

Upon graduating from the United Kingdom, she began her career as a Post-doctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Microbiology, National University of Singapore. The following year, she returned to Malaysia and served as a lecturer in University Putra Malaysia, following her inner calling to nurture and educate the next generation of biomedical and health sciences practitioners.

Over the years, she was successful in securing many research grants from government ministries of education, and science & technology and private organizations such as MAKNA (Malaysian National Cancer Council) totalling more than 2 million cumulatively to realize some of her research initiatives. Several patents were also granted both at national and international level, along with innovative research awards at national level.

Associate Professor Dr Priya Madhavan is currently the Lab Director for the Digital Health and Medical Advancement Impact lab at the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, Taylor’s University.

Associate Professor Dr Priya Madhavan is currently the Lab Director for the Digital Health and Medical Advancement Impact lab at the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, Taylor’s University.

Associate Professor Dr Priya Madhavan holds a PhD in Medical Microbiology from University Putra Malaysia (2014), an MSc in Biology (2003), and a BSc (Hons) in Biology with a major in Microbiology and a minor in Business Management from the University of Science Malaysia (1999).

In research, Dr Priya has made significant strides in antimicrobial resistance, biofilms, drug discovery, and nanomedicine. She has led and collaborated on numerous national and internal grants, published extensively in peer-reviewed journals, and authored several book chapters. Her supervision of postgraduate students has resulted in impactful research on fungal pathogenesis, neurodegenerative diseases, and nanotechnology-based therapeutics. Currently, she is also the lead investigator for Nanoflex and NanoShield, two translational research projects.

Dr. Jo Ann Andoy Galvan is a Senior Lecturer at Taylor’s University School of Medicine and an expert in epidemiology, preventive health, and health promotion.

Dr. Jo Ann Andoy Galvan is a Senior Lecturer at Taylor’s University School of Medicine and an expert in epidemiology, preventive health, and health promotion. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology, Doctor of Medicine, and Master in Public Health from Saint Louis University and holds a Diplomate in Occupational Medicine from the Philippine College of Occupational Medicine. She is an active member of both the Philippine College of Occupational Medicine and the Philippine Medical Association.

Dr. Galvan’s research interests span autism, non-communicable diseases, and economic evaluation, with her work published in Q1 journals and presented at numerous international medical conferences. She has secured multiple research grants, including private funding from Prudential, and currently serves as the Project Team Leader for the BOLEH Project, an initiative dedicated to reducing dengue fever transmission, a major public health concern in Malaysia.

Dedicated to continuous learning and research excellence, Dr. Galvan is set to complete her Ph.D. in Medical Science at Taylor’s University by 2025. She is an active member of the Digital Health and Medical Advancement Impact Lab

Dr. Chai Hong Yeong is a medical physicist, a certified radiation protection officer and an Associate Professor at Taylor’s University, Malaysia.

Dr. Chai Hong Yeong is a medical physicist, a certified radiation protection officer and an Associate Professor at Taylor’s University, Malaysia. She is one of the few medical physicists in Malaysia who has completed the IAEA Clinical Training of Medical Physicists Specialising in Diagnostic Radiology (DRMP). Dr. Yeong is currently chairing the Professional Relations Committee of the Asia-Oceania Federation of Organizations for Medical Physics (AFOMP) 2019-2021, and a Web Sub-committee (Newsletter) of the International Organization for Medical Physics (IOMP). She is also the elected Vice President of the South-East Asia Federation of Organizations for Medical Physics (SEAFOMP) 2019-2021, and the Founding Member of the ASEAN College of Medical Physics (ACOMP). After obtaining an advanced university degree in Medicine, Dr Halyna Lugova was admitted to the postgraduate program at the Ukrainian Military Medical Academy and completed her MSc (Epidemiology), and PhD (Epidemiology) there. In 2016, she obtained a MPH (International Public Health) from the University of Liverpool.

In 2016, she obtained a MPH (International Public Health) from the University of Liverpool. In 1997-2011, Dr Halyna served with the Armed Forces of Ukraine as a commissioned military officer. She was involved in postgraduate education of military doctors and research in the field of public health. Additionally, she served with the United Nations in Democratic Republic of the Congo (2004-2005) and in Georgia (2008-2009). Since 2012, she has been employed as an Associate Professor at the National Defence University of Malaysia, Faculty of Medicine and Defence Health. Since, 2017, she has been appointed as a Head of Community Medicine. The area of her research interest has been focused on infectious diseases, international public health and disaster management.

Prof. Dr. Looi earned his Bachelor of Biomedical Science (Hons) degree from Universiti Putra Malaysia. Supported by a Japanese Government scholarship, he pursued his Master’s and Ph.D. at Tohoku University, Japan. Currently, Dr. Looi serves as an Associate Professor in the School of Biosciences at Taylor’s University.

Prof. Dr. Looi earned his Bachelor of Biomedical Science (Hons) degree from Universiti Putra Malaysia. Supported by a Japanese Government scholarship, he pursued his Master’s and Ph.D. at Tohoku University, Japan. Currently, Dr. Looi serves as an Associate Professor in the School of Biosciences at Taylor’s University and is the Hub Leader for Non-Communicable Diseases under the Digital Health and Medical Advancement Impact Lab. His expertise lies in natural product-based drug design and development, as well as cancer and infection immune response. Dr. Looi has published over 70 papers in indexed journals, with an impressive H-index of 41 and total citations amounting to 6,134. Additionally, he has contributed to three book chapters and serves as an Associate Editor for several esteemed journals, including BMC Complementary Medicine and Therapies, Translational Oncology, Frontiers in Oncology, and Cancer Treatment and Research Communications. In recognition of his outstanding contributions, he received Taylor’s Vice Chancellor Award in 2024.

Dr. Ameya Ashok Hasamnis is a distinguished clinical pharmacologist with over 17 years of experience in medical education. He serves as a Senior Lecturer and leads the Pharmacology Unit at the School of Medicine, Taylor’s University, Malaysia.

Dr. Ameya Ashok Hasamnis is a distinguished clinical pharmacologist with over 17 years of experience in medical education. He serves as a Senior Lecturer and leads the Pharmacology Unit at the School of Medicine, Taylor’s University, Malaysia. Dr. Hasamnis is dedicated to enhancing medical education through innovative teaching methodologies, notably implementing case-based learning to improve students’ clinical reasoning and application skills. His research primarily focuses on the community utilization of medications for managing diabetes mellitus and hypertension. Notably, he conducted a prescription pattern study in an Indian referral hospital, analyzing antidiabetic drug prescriptions and providing baseline data to encourage rational prescribing practices. Additionally, Dr. Hasamnis has explored drug utilization patterns in rural Malaysia, contributing valuable insights into prescribing behaviors in resource-limited settings.
His extensive publication record and numerous citations underscore his significant contributions to clinical pharmacology and medical education. He is an active member of the Digital Health and Medical Advancement Impact Lab.

She holds a Master of Philosophy in Pharmacy from Taylor’s University and a Bachelor of Pharmacy from J.S.S College of Pharmacy, the Tamilnadu Dr. MGR Medical University, India.

Ms. S. Poonguzhali is a distinguished academician and researcher in pharmaceutical sciences, currently serving as a Lecturer at Taylor’s University, Malaysia. She holds a Master of Philosophy in Pharmacy from Taylor’s University and a Bachelor of Pharmacy from J.S.S College of Pharmacy, the Tamilnadu Dr. MGR Medical University, India. With over 20 years of experience in academia, she has developed extensive expertise in teaching, curriculum development, and academic leadership. Her research interests lie in nano-formulations and herbal-based preparations, and she remains actively engaged in scholarly work. He has presented at numerous global conferences and has received multiple accolades for his impactful work in healthcare and academia. His mentorship has guided the professional growth of many young leaders in the field, and his expertise is frequently sought by governmental and international health bodies.

Currently, Dr. Paraidathathu serves as the Oversight Chair of the Impact Lab and the Executive Dean of the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences at Taylor’s University.
